Gatekeeper Organization- Divisions, platoons, and squads

the combat part of the gatekeeper organization is divided into divisions, platoons, and divisions. divisions are grouped based on the location and main focus of said division. each division has 1,300 combat operatives divided into 26 platoons. each platoon is organized under a name. each platoon specializes in a certain task, and each is used for a certain function. platoons are divided into 10 squads. Squads are small 5-man groups within the gatekeeper organization organized by color.
DIVISIONS:

  1. badlands division- the only division ever deployed into the badlands. considered an elite division because of the extremely high mortality rate and an average enemy-to-gatekeeper rate of 75 to 1 on every mission.
  2. desert division- the main division stationed in the desert. the two primary objectives of this division are caravan protection details and raids on bandit camps.
  3. jungle division- work in the dense jungles of earth-r. this division is focused mainly on keeping dangerous jungle creature populations down and keeping peace between elf tribes
  4. urban- this division was created to back up the small police forces that attempt to keep the peace in the large cities of earth-r. this division has the most regulations because its area of operations has a high density of innocent bystanders. this division is also seen as the "training division" because all potential gatekeeper recruits are sent to recruiting camps in the cities, then deployed into the cities as a part of this division.
  5. guard- this division consists almost entirely of heavy gatekeepers. the members of this division are tasked with protecting gatekeeper forts and caravans, along with the gatekeeper organization's allies.
  6. hazop- the hazop division is based on an ancient worldstrider. this elite division takes care of hazardous material threats, including but not limited to: dirty bombs, radioactive waste, chemical spills, pollution threats, toxic sludge spills, nuclear reactor meltdowns, poison gas disposal, transport of said materials through danger zones, and mutant outbreaks. the only area that this division does not operate in is the badlands.
  7. forest- like the jungle division, but works in forests.
  8. space- the space division handles all extraplanetary missions, like creating and maintaining orbiting bases and satellites, and acting as planetary immigration officials. the space division also is tasked with stopping the odd alien invasion.
  9. subcrust- this division operate in earth-r's various subcrusts, keeping the peace and regulating the flow of traffic between subcrusts.
  10. marine- the marine division mainly operates in and around the deep-ocean cities. the marine division keeps the peace and responds to any threat to the cities, whether it be a hostile invasion by another city, or an attack by a raging mega-kracken.
  11. archives- the archives division f the gatekeepers is tasked with sorting and maintaining the gatekeeper archives. this massive database contains files on almost everything on or in earth-r, in addition to files on things not native to earth-r and the restricted files, which are rumored to contain the secrets to the universe and life itself.
  12. arctic- the arctic division is actually two seperate divisions: one for the north and one for the south. these divisions operate in earth-r's polar ice caps, regulating the populations of the extremely dangerous arctic predatory species, preventing population overgrowth leading to migration out of the arctic and into the cities and settlements that could not deal with the new animals.

(see: "dropship", "sculley")
