Origin: esned-4 is an altered form of esned. First created for fortress armor, esned-4 is now used mainly as personal protection in the form of body armor plates.
Properties: esned-4 is the most dense material that does not affect the field of gravity surrounding it. Esned-4 has such a high melting point that it must be exposed to plasma for long periods of time to take the form of a semi-fluid gel. It is speculated that esned-4 cannot exist in gas or plasma form. Combined with esned-4's density of 10,000lbs per cubic foot, this makes esned-4 armor extremely rare, and very valuable.
misc: suits of esned-4 armor always come with supplementary servos due to the weight of the armor. esned-4 is also used as plate armor for heavy vehicles when speed and weight are of little concern or importance.
